Introducing the STS Fellows Program

By: STS Network Team

Last Spring at our annual advisory board meeting we were discussing how Strength to Stand could give back to the local church after a year where so much was taken away. The idea we kept coming back to was the creation of a local community where student pastors could come and belong. A place where they could come and feel encouraged. A place where many could come and gain valuable insight and knowledge into the different aspects of student ministry in a way where they didn’t feel lectured to but felt cared for. From that, the STS Fellows Program was born!

As our team began praying and seeking the will of God over this program he took us to the book of Acts and Luke writes in Acts 2:42-43,

And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. And awe came upon every soul and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles.”

This is the heart and soul of the STS Fellows Program. To foster an environment where student pastors can find fellowship and learn practical tools to grow in student ministry! Across 8 weeks Student Pastors will join every week to watch a community conversation and then discuss and engage on the subjects in their individual pods led by our 5 Lead Fellows from churches across the southeast.

In almost every occupation there is some continuing education component, but for the work of the Gospel you go to Seminary or a University for 4 years and never have to learn or refresh again. In the times we are living in now we need to continue finding new and innovative ways to reach this generation for Christ.

Our first week will be March 16 and will conclude on May 4. I fundamentally believe God will do some incredible things through this program in the life of student pastors across the nation. Join us!
